This saggar urn has been uniquely fired producing a piece which can never be exactly replicated again, making this a one of kind piece and a perfect tribute to holding your loved one's ashes. 

This particular urn has shades of tan, brown, and smoky black which give it an earthy, or even mars like feeling. 

There may be variations between the images shown and the urn you receive, the process is unique and the natural reactions happen differently each time, leading to the patterns developing differently. This, of course, makes each Saggar urn unique and distinct. The shape, size, and colour variations will however be the same as pictured.

The Saggar firing technique makes use of Iron(III), otherwise known as Ferric Chloride, a compound commonly used in etching copper circuit boards and water treatment. Each clay urn is coated and wrapped in raw materials such as copper wire, steel wool, ferns, sugar, salt, and aluminium foil before firing to 1100°C.

The foil then traps the fumes created as the materials burn away, which imprint themselves into the surface of the clay. Because of this, each piece is completely one of a kind, never to be reproduced. This is, of course, a feature and one of the many beautiful aspects making this Saggar cremation urn a beautiful piece of decor.
