Spring Cremation Urn for Ashes

Our Spring cremation urn is handcrafted into a deep rounded shape, giving the comfort of harmony and protection. The soft curves and circular shape represent unity, commitment, and love. The top rim of the urn is wider with a delicate lip which allows the large disc shaped lid to fit into the urn perfectly, completing the wholeness. 

The Seasons urns have a mostly, natural, light earthy tone to it. Due to the unique firing process, there are some patches where slow burning has taken place creating spots of darker browns, grey, and black tones, adding a smoky feel to the urn. These unique fired features bring the urn together to complete the natural earthen feel.

Spring has small delicate blossom-like petals covering branches with other blooming flowers with details that catch the eye. The branches reach and wrap around the urn, creating a gentle embrace.

The Saggar firing technique makes use of Iron(III), otherwise known as Ferric Chloride, a compound commonly used in etching copper circuit boards and water treatment. Each clay urn is coated and wrapped in raw materials such as copper wire, steel wool, ferns, sugar, salt, and aluminium foil before firing to 1100°C.

The foil then traps the fumes created as the materials burn away, which imprint themselves into the surface of the clay. Because of this, each piece is completely one of a kind, never to be reproduced. This is, of course, a feature and one of the many beautiful aspects making this Saggar cremation urn a beautiful piece of decor.
