Our Gourd Biodegradable Urn for Ashes is a biodegradable urn which has been created using a fruit that grows in the Southwestern USA deserts, the gourd. Local artisans take these fruits, dry them out and then craft them in to biodegradable urns.

These biodegradable urns have a piece of driftwood attached to the lid and come with a 25 gram cast bronze medallion which has a symbol of the tree of life engraved into it. This is a beautiful testimonial to the circle of life and how your loved one's ashes will return to the nature providing the earth with nutrients allowing it to grow.

Due to the handcrafted nature of the guard biodegradable urn, each burial urns specific shape may vary slightly, as well as the piece of driftwood that is attached to the lid. Hence, these biodegradable urns are completely one of a kind and unique, just like your loved one was.

There is a 7.6cm natural cork top of the fruit urn which can be lifted off and your loved ones ashes can be carefully placed inside. The burial urn can then be closed securely and buried in the ground where it will naturally decompose over time, including the biodegradable ashes bag for land burial which is included.
