Horizons Cremation Urn for Ashes

Our Horizons cremation urn has a smooth spherical shape resembling a crystal ball. This represents a sense of wholeness, completion, and karma. It may remind you of the moon, an orange, water droplets, all natural shapes found in nature which are formed through gravity and force. 

The colour palette of this urn is peaceful and eludes a serene and peaceful feeling. These particular patterns can be interpreted in multiple different natural scenic places such as, mountains which are atop with snow, or waves crashing against a sandy beach. 

This urn would be a perfect tribute to an individual who loved walked along the beaches, hiking up mountains, surfing, or loved any other aspect of nature.

There may be variations between the images shown and the urn you receive, the process is unique and the natural reactions happen differently each time, leading to the patterns developing differently. This, of course, makes each Saggar urn unique and distinct. The shape, size, and colour variations will however be the same as pictured.

The Saggar firing technique makes use of Iron(III), otherwise known as Ferric Chloride, a compound commonly used in etching copper circuit boards and water treatment. Each clay urn is coated and wrapped in raw materials such as copper wire, steel wool, ferns, sugar, salt, and aluminium foil before firing to 1100°C.

The foil then traps the fumes created as the materials burn away, which imprint themselves into the surface of the clay. Because of this, each piece is completely one of a kind, never to be reproduced. This is, of course, a feature and one of the many beautiful aspects making this Saggar cremation urn a beautiful piece of décor.
