The SandSphere urn for children is entirely handmade from a blend of natural organic materials, including sand and vegetable minerals. The urn is completely biodegradable, and can be used for either water or land burial. It’s properties make it react differently based on the environment it’s placed in.
This urn’s shape symbolises the cyclical aspects of life. As one ends, it becomes the literal foundation of new life, taking shape and flourishing again.
When the urn is buried in the ground the outer shell will slowly combine with the earth and soil. Dispersing the ashes throughout. This also naturally releases the nitrogen and phosphorus rich vegetable minerals, fertilising the soil, and letting life begin anew.
When submerged in water, the urn begins to dissolve. In the same way that the minerals begin revitalising the environment when buried, these same nutrients will be spread out through the water. This urn allows the ashes of your child to be returned to nature in a way that benefits the environment.
