Whilst this wooden urn was designed to be within your home, it can also be buried in the ground - as this type of wood will naturally decompose between 2 - 5 years and your loved one's ashes will be released into the earth. 

Sometimes the hole for burial can be quite deep, in these circumstances you can also purchase a Lowering Cord which provides a safe method for lowering the urn into the ground, preventing the risk of dropping your urn or having to kneel down. This wooden urn's ashes compartment can be accessed by lifting off the lid at the top. We include a biodegradable bag to hold your loved one's ashes within this urn.
