What can I do with My Cat's Ashes?

In this article we will be suggesting some heartfelt ideas for what to do with your cat's ashes.

The right pet urn for you

If you are looking to keep your cat's ashes in a pet urn to keep within your home or garden, it is important that you find the right one for you. This may be one that blends well with your home décor or one that you think resonates with your beloved cat the most.

There are many skilled artisans all over the world coming up with new and creative designs for urns every day that the idea of keeping your pet's ashes in a simple wooden box doesn't have to be the norm anymore. Here at Urns For Angels, we have an array of pet urns for pet ashes available that come in all kinds of colours, shapes and materials.

For example, we have our Cat Cremation Urn for Pet's Ashes which has been created to resemble a generic cat shape so that it is suitable for every breed of cat. This is one of our ceramic urns that is suitable for indoor and outdoor use and it is available in 12 different colours to choose from.

Burial

You may not fancy keeping your cat in a pet urn in your home or garden and that's completely your decision. You may instead decide for a burial urn. There are two types of burial urns: land burial and water burial.

A land burial is where a biodegradable urn is used to store a loved one's ashes and then this urn is buried within the ground, usually at least a 3 foot deep hole. Over time, the natural materials of the urn will slowly biodegrade to release the ashes and allow them to become integrated into the environment.

The biodegradable urn is made from natural, organic materials, making it a great choice for land burial. As the ashes are released into the soil alongside plant nutrients that contain phosphorus and nitrogen, the burial urn revitalises the environment it's buried in.

The biodegradable urn will remain solid at home when it's in a dry environment, but as soon as it is buried or comes into contact with a moist environment, it will slowly begin dispersing the contents and natural minerals throughout, naturally melding with, and fertilising the environment.

This pet urn for ashes is hard and resistant in dry environments, but as soon as it is immersed in the water, it will begin to dissolve and the ashes will disperse.
