About This Urn
The Turtle Biodegradable Water Urn for Ashes offers a peaceful and nature-led farewell, thoughtfully designed for water burial ceremonies. Handcrafted in the gentle form of a turtle, it provides a calm and meaningful way to return your loved one’s ashes to the water.
Although this is a biodegradable urn, it is perfectly suitable for dignified display in the home; the biodegradable materials are designed to break down only when placed in land burial or water burial conditions.
This urn is supported by an official Certificate of Biodegradability, providing reassurance that the materials are designed to naturally return to the earth over time.
Materials & Finish
Handcrafted from water soluble biodegradable paper, this urn features sculpted shell detailing and a natural beige finish. Each turtle is individually made, meaning subtle variations in size, shape and colour are part of its unique character.
Designed specifically for water burial, the urn naturally biodegrades after gently sinking beneath the surface, allowing ashes to return to nature in a respectful and environmentally conscious way.

How to Fill & Seal
The urn opens via a discreet bottom panel. Inside, a supplied water soluble inner bag allows ashes to be placed securely. Once set on the water, the urn floats briefly before gently sinking, where both the urn and contents naturally biodegrade.
