1. Introduction
Urns For Angels recognises its responsibility under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within its operations and supply chain. Although the company is not legally required to publish a statement (as turnover is below the statutory threshold), we voluntarily adopt this policy to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to ethical, transparent, and responsible business practices in every market we serve.
2. Organisation and Supply Chain
Urns For Angels supplies premium cremation urns, memorial jewellery, and eco funeral products to customers across the United Kingdom, the United States, and worldwide. We work with a small network of carefully selected international manufacturers who share our commitment to ethical employment and environmental standards. All suppliers are required to confirm compliance with fair labour, human rights, and environmental laws in their respective jurisdictions.
3. Policies and Commitments
We maintain a strict zero-tolerance approach to slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labour. Our internal policies require all suppliers to:
- Certify that employment is freely chosen
- Provide safe, hygienic working conditions
- Prohibit the use of child labour
- Ensure fair wages and working hours
- Demonstrate ongoing compliance with applicable labour regulations
4. Due Diligence and Risk Management
We conduct due diligence before onboarding any supplier and review existing partners periodically. This includes verification of ethical sourcing standards, assessment of working conditions, and compliance with national and international labour laws. Our supply chain does not operate in any region identified as high-risk for forced or child labour.
5. Training and Awareness
The company director and procurement personnel receive regular briefings on ethical sourcing and the Modern Slavery Act. This ensures continued awareness of evolving best practice and reinforces accountability across our operations.
6. Approval
This statement was approved by the Director on behalf of Urns For Angels.
