About This Urn
The Journey Biodegradable Water Urn for Ashes in Extra Large is thoughtfully created for meaningful water burials or the respectful transportation of ashes. Its larger capacity makes it suitable for larger adults, while its gentle, natural appearance offers a calm and dignified farewell.
Although this is a biodegradable urn, it is perfectly suitable for dignified display in the home; the biodegradable materials are designed to break down only when placed in land burial or water burial conditions.
This urn is supported by an official Certificate of Biodegradability, providing reassurance that the materials are designed to naturally return to the earth over time.
Materials & Finish
Handcrafted from sustainably produced biodegradable card, this urn is made using paper derived from the bark of the Mulberry tree. Ancient harvesting methods are used, allowing the tree to continue growing without harm.
The envelope-style form is finished in a soft natural beige tone and features a decorative band of natural-coloured paper with embedded flower blossoms, adding a subtle and elegant detail.

How to Fill & Seal
The urn is designed to be filled easily before the ceremony. For water burial, ashes are placed inside the urn as directed, allowing the biodegradable structure to dissolve naturally once placed on the water’s surface.
If preferred for transportation, ashes may be placed in a resealable inner bag before insertion to allow for flexibility prior to the final farewell.
