Black Urns for Ashes

Our black urns for ashes are strong and elegant, in glossy and matte glazed ceramic, black metal, stone and crystal. Black is the classic colour of mourning and suits modern and traditional homes alike. Designs include Pyramid, Drop, Lotus, Love Heart, Pebbles, Angel Wings, Flame and Star.

Choosing a black urn

What size? Adult urns hold the full ashes of one adult, about 3 to 3.5 litres. Medium, small and keepsake urns hold a share, there are baby urns, and there are black pet urns for cats and dogs. Each urn lists its capacity in litres, and our urn size guide explains how to find the volume of the ashes.

Ceramic or metal? Glazed ceramic has a deep, glassy finish; black metal urns are sleek and very durable. Both are made to keep at home; see our metal urns and ceramic urns.
