About This Urn

This large gourd urn takes its rounded shape from the fruit it is named for, finished in a natural tone with a bronze memorial medallion on the front. It suits a woodland or garden burial where a softer, organic shape feels right. A nameplate and an inner bag come included.

Materials & Finish

The urn is made by hand from mulberry tree bark, harvested using a method that leaves the tree alive and growing. This gives a fully biodegradable material, free of synthetic components.

Left in its natural finish, the gourd shape carries a warm, earthy surface with the bronze medallion as its main detail. Once buried, the urn breaks down naturally and returns to the earth over time.

How to Fill & Seal

Place the included bag inside the urn and fill it gently with the ashes before closing it. Fit the bag into the urn, then lift the lid into place and press it firmly closed. A non-toxic paper glue can be used along the join for a permanent seal, though it is optional and not supplied.
