About This Urn
The Oceane Quartz Biodegradable Water Urn has been thoughtfully designed to support meaningful and dignified water burial ceremonies. Its smooth spherical form and soft white appearance create a calm visual presence, allowing families to say farewell in a respectful and serene way. Once placed on the water, the urn floats briefly before gently sinking to its final resting place.
Although this is a biodegradable urn, it is perfectly suitable for dignified display in the home; the biodegradable materials are designed to break down only when placed in land burial or water burial conditions.
This urn is supported by an official Certificate of Biodegradability, providing reassurance that the materials are designed to naturally return to the earth over time.
Materials & Finish
Handcrafted using a natural clay-like substance and finished with a coating of crushed quartz, this urn is made entirely from natural materials. The surface has a subtle glittering appearance that gently reflects light, helping the urn remain visible during water ceremonies.
A decorative raised band encircles the centre of the urn, adding a refined detail to its otherwise minimal form. All materials are selected to biodegrade fully in water without causing environmental harm.

How to Fill & Seal
The urn features a lid at the top and is supplied with a water soluble inner bag for placing ashes securely inside. Once filled, the lid is gently positioned and the urn is ready for placement on the water. Small openings in the base allow water to enter, enabling the urn to sink gracefully before fully biodegrading within approximately 4–5 hours.
