About This Urn
The Riviera Biodegradable Urn for Ashes – Adult is created for a ceremonial water farewell. Its rounded cylindrical shape, soft white finish, braided rope detail and starfish decoration give it a calm coastal presence, while the biodegradable construction is designed to float briefly before sinking and dissolving naturally in water.
Materials & Finish
This urn is crafted from cellulose, a material derived from plant cell walls, combined with natural binding agents. In water, the urn is designed to remain afloat for approximately five minutes before sinking, then dissolves completely in around 10–20 minutes depending on the conditions of the sea, lake or river.
The white surface allows space for a handwritten message or image before the farewell, adding a personal touch to the ceremony. The decorative rope with starfish can be removed before placement in water, and the shell-inspired top detail reinforces the urn’s ocean theme.

How to Fill & Seal
Opening is at the top. Carefully remove the lid, take out the biodegradable ashes bag, open it, and place the open bag back inside the urn before filling. Once filled, close the bag with the closure tie, push it fully down into the urn, and place the lid back on. The lid fits tightly for a secure closure. For water placement, the decorative rope should be removed beforehand.
