The Romana Biodegradable Urn for Ashes – Adult offers a thoughtful and environmentally conscious way to return ashes to nature. Its rounded, sculptural form takes inspiration from ancient Roman amphorae, while the soft natural tones and braided detail create a calm, understated presence. Designed for adult ashes, this biodegradable urn is intended for water or land burial ceremonies and includes a small keepsake box within the lid for holding a small remembrance.
Materials & Finish
This urn is crafted using traditional methods from natural materials, mainly sand and olive stones. The composition is completely biodegradable and soluble, while the olive stones can also act as a nutrient for the soil, helping to stimulate plant growth after burial.
Visually, the urn has a rounded, amphora-inspired silhouette with a soft sand-colored upper section, a deeper warm brown lower body, and a natural braided band around the center. The lid sits at the top and features a small metal keepsake compartment, adding a discreet and practical memorial detail.

How to Fill & Seal
To fill the urn, carefully remove the lid from the top and take out the biodegradable ashes bag inside. Open the bag, place it back into the urn, and fill it with ashes while it remains inside the vessel. Once filled, use the closure tie to secure the bag, press it fully down into the urn, and replace the lid. The lid is designed to fit tightly for a secure finish.
