About This Urn

The Simplicity Earthurn is a biodegradable urn for burial, made by hand from mulberry tree bark. This Floral version is decorated with a pressed botanical pattern, suited to a family who wants a gentle, natural marker for a burial plot or memorial garden. It is sized for an adult.

Materials & Finish

Earthurns are made by hand from mulberry tree bark, harvested using an ancient technique that does not harm the tree, so it keeps growing. The bark is worked into a firm, lightweight shell strong enough to handle and bury.

The Floral finish carries a soft, pressed pattern across the surface, giving the bark a decorative but natural look. Once buried, the urn breaks down completely and returns to the earth around it.

How to Fill & Seal

Lift off the lid and fill the urn with the ashes, then replace the lid firmly. If you would like an extra seal, a non-toxic paper glue can be run along the rim before burial, though it is not required and is not supplied.
