The Himalayan Rock Salt Biodegradable Water Urn for Ashes – Medium offers a dignified and natural farewell for water burial ceremonies. Carefully handcrafted, it is designed to hold the ashes of a small adult, child, or beloved pet, providing a serene and respectful way to return ashes to the water.
Although this is a biodegradable urn, it is perfectly suitable for dignified display in the home; the biodegradable materials are designed to break down only when placed in land burial or water burial conditions.
This urn is supported by an official Certificate of Biodegradability, providing reassurance that the materials are designed to naturally return to the earth over time.
Materials & Finish
Handcrafted from natural Himalayan rock salt formed over 250 million years ago, each urn is shaped into a smooth barrel form and finished in soft pink tones characteristic of this ancient material.
Designed specifically for water burial, the salt naturally dissolves when submerged, with the process typically taking up to four hours depending on water movement and conditions.

How to Fill & Seal
The urn is filled using the supplied water soluble inner bag, which holds the ashes securely inside. Once placed on the surface of the water, the urn will begin its natural dissolution process, gently releasing the ashes as it dissolves.
