About This Urn
The Shell Biodegradable Water Urn has been thoughtfully handcrafted for families choosing a natural and environmentally responsible water burial. With its generous capacity, it is suitable for the ashes of one adult or two adults with a combined body weight of up to approximately 180 kg, offering a calm and dignified farewell at sea, river, or lake.
Although this is a biodegradable urn, it is perfectly suitable for dignified display in the home; the biodegradable materials are designed to break down only when placed in land burial or water burial conditions.

Materials & Finish
Handcrafted using water soluble biodegradable paper, this urn is an eco-friendly green burial product that does not require any trees to be felled. All materials are specifically chosen to dissolve and biodegrade naturally in water.
The clamshell form is hand painted using water soluble paint and is available in four color options, including this Aqua Blue finish. The sculpted shell shape is designed to rest gracefully on the water’s surface before submerging.

How to Fill & Seal
The ashes are placed into the supplied water soluble inner bag and inserted into the urn from the side. Once placed gently on the surface of the water, the urn will float peacefully for a few minutes before naturally sinking and biodegrading, allowing the ashes to return to nature as intended.
