About This Urn
The Shell Biodegradable Water Urn in Sand has been handcrafted using water soluble biodegradable paper, making it ideal for water burial. With a large 6.5 litre capacity, it can hold the ashes of either one adult or two adults (combined) up to a total body weight of approximately 180 kg / 397 lb.
Although this is a biodegradable urn, it is perfectly suitable for dignified display in the home; the biodegradable materials are designed to break down only when placed in land burial or water burial conditions.

Materials & Finish
Crafted from water soluble biodegradable paper, this urn is designed to completely degrade within water as part of an eco-friendly Green Burial choice.
The clamshell form is hand painted with water soluble paint in a sand finish, and a water soluble bag is included inside for placing the ashes safely.

How to Fill & Seal
The ashes are placed into the supplied water soluble bag and then inserted into the urn through the side opening. When you’re ready, place the urn gently onto the surface of the water — it will float peacefully for a few minutes before sinking, allowing the urn and its contents to biodegrade naturally beneath the surface.
