What is INNER COATING®

Cremation urns hold something with real symbolic value, so it matters that they're kept safe and intact. Our ceramic urns are made from the highest quality material, but ceramic can be fragile, and a mishap like dropping the urn can mix cremated remains with ceramic debris.

INNER COATING® is a thin, white, rubber-like layer applied to the inside of the urn. Its purpose is simple: to hold the ashes securely in one place if the worst happens.

While the inner layer provides added protection, it does not guarantee the urn's structural integrity against impacts. Sharp ceramic debris may occasionally breach the rubber layer; however, the ashes will remain securely contained in one place, ready to be transferred to a new memorial.

How the Replacement Process Works

Step 1: Secure the Ashes

Carefully transfer the ashes into a temporary vessel or sealed bag to keep them safe. Your funeral service provider can help with this if needed.

Step 2: Send the Damaged Urn

Send the damaged urn back to us using a courier service of your choice. Full return instructions are available on our Returns page.

Step 3: We Replace It

Once we receive the damaged urn, we will send you an exact replacement, complete with Inner Coating.
