Our Melanite cremation urn for ashes is available in copper or copper plated steel. The shape of this urn is cylindrical, narrower towards the base with an elevated lid.
This urn has been galvanically coloured dark grey. Morally ambiguous and impartial, grey is the colour of complexity - everything that falls in between absolutes. Grey can be easily overlooked, but it’s quite a fascinating colour if you look a little deeper into the detail.
The silver-plated surface of this urn is smooth and cold to the touch helping to ground you when this piece is held. The metal of this urn can be placed in direct sunlight or held for an extended period of time to warm up the material, giving this urn a comforting aura.
